Hi all
How much can I rise my Cal safely in one day .
If my tests are right iv let my Cal drop to around 375 ppm and I try to keep it at 450ppm
It's strange as I was at 450 about 4 ,days ago and forgot to test and dose ...by hand
Does it sound about right that I could drop that much in 4 days , iv lots of sps frags .
Iv just run out of salifert ca3 so I can't even retest tonight to make sure
Alk sits a 8.0 dKH
Mag around 1380 , gonna test that in a min and post correct level.......edit mag is 1380
Thanks

The only concern is impurities in the calcium, not the calcium rise itself. 50 ppm per day is fine, with a reasonable product.

That said, if the alk is unchanged, the calcium did not drop 75 ppm.

Calcium should then be dropping about 5 ppm per day. Much more than that would be testing error.

But if calcium is low, you can boost it by 50 ppm per day just fine. :)
