My BR Fire Shrimp disappeared without a trace about a week ago, and still no sign of him. Was hoping he was molting in the Rockwork somewhere, but pulled the Rockwork to add a ledge this weekend and nothing. No note - no anything... Id guess he was eaten, although he was a large shrimp and couldn't see my smaller predatory fish taking him out...

Oh well, its time to move on and let go. RIP Scampi, you were a real one. Your scavenging algae on powerheads in heaven now.

"Do not go gentle into that good night, Scampi.
Old age should burn and rave at close of day;
Rage, rage against the dying of the light..."

So pretty sure I figured out what happened, hawkfish killed him and ate him (along w the hermit crew) before I could notice…

I say this because I got a replacement red shrimp and noticed the hawkfish harassing him right away. And he was dead by morning…

He’s currently in the zoa tank while I look for a new home for him. Beautiful (but total a hole) fish
