R2R Community Picks My Tank Equipment

Well I am starting a new build and was sitting at work thinking about this build. I thought how cool it would be for those who are not planning on a new build any time soon to be able to build vicariously as a group through my build.

I will be setting up my Redsea Reefer 650 peninsula. I currently do not have a tank up and running as of March when I had to take down my Redsea Reefer 450 due to medical emergency with my wife. I work out of town a lot so this build will be automated. I have a 2016 apex that I will install on this tank as well.

What I am trying to figure out is how to do a poll for each piece of equipment I am adding to the tank.

Lights
Return pump
Power heads
Skimmer
Etc

I have created a poll on if I should do this or not. The build thread will take while to do since you as the community will be deciding on almost everything I add to the tank. The only thing that I won’t be up for voting is the Vendor for the rocks. I already purchased them and they are being shipped so I can start the cycle in a bin for a few months while I purchase all the equipment.

I think this post didn't do that well because your tank size is massive compared to the average reefer. Not many really have the experience in equiping a tank that size lol. I know I don't.

I think the issue was that threads quickly get swept down the list and buried by other threads, I don't see very many of us not being super excited to spend someone else's money

I think that a good starting point would be to let us know what your goals are stocking wise for this 650 and we can go from there

It's only like 160G.

I wish tank was 650 gallons. Largest tank I have owned is 300 gallons.
