Reef2Reef is on SmugMug also!!
I have seen here on R2R some amazing pictures from corals, fish etc. in build or other threads but they all get lost somehow in the wealth of postings we have here on the forum.
Many of us use Photobucket or similar sites to store their pictures for use in forums which is a good idea but also there the "good shots" get lost somehow and all those ads bother me also a bit. I want to focus on pictures and nothing else.
I saw some members from R2R are using SmugMug to show off their nicest pictures in very nice and colorful albums. I had a look at some albums and it was so nice to see all those amazing pictures in one place. Yes SmugMug is not free and you have to pay a subscription but it is just beautiful. You can very easy create your own mini site and categorize all your pictures in nice galleries. If you use Lightroom, Photoshop or one of the many other programs you can even automatically upload your pictures. Linking to your Facebook pages is a breeze. There are so many more possibilities to many to list them all here.
I tried it out and you can see what can be done in my gallery for example. Not that I am a pro in taking pictures but they are not that bad either. Have a look here: MAXreefer | SmugMug
SmugMug offers also "Communities" to link photoalbums from people with the same interest.
Rev created for us a "reef2reef" community. Everybody who is on SmugMug from R2R can join. Now when somebody looks up our community he can easily look at all our nice pictures from one place.
For those who are already on SmugMug don't forget to join the Community!!
