Looking at my frag tank trying to figure out where to put my incoming corals I noticed my carpet nem that I got during the lunar sale had a baby already.

Ok. It happened. I caved and bought a few things.

And now with the seal broken I'll probably add more later.
That’s me, lol. I just came to watch. Once you buy the first thing, then you pay for shipping, might as well buy a few more things. And then the after sale rolls around. Sigh.

@DeniseAndy Found the hippopus! You enjoy yours? Anything special you have to do for them?
Nope. They have been the easiest clam so far. I have raised most other sorts we have in the hobby. Currently have a few crocea, squammy, derasa and giga. My maxima died from pyramid snail invasion on year five (not happy).

So far have had it through qt on a rack and it was happy, fell off all the time, did not seem to care much. Now on sandbed and gets moved around a lot. Still happy. Glad it is very tolerant. Most are not that good about being moved.

Mine is still small. I think maybe 8" at most. Probably 6" is more likely if that. EDIT

Boy, was I wrong, google says 30". Well, that may take a while.

That was an impressive sale! I actually felt like there were a lot of great deals and that’s refreshing for these live sales. Here’s what I ended up with and I may not be done yet…

Got it, Thanks. I just couldn't tell with the picture and man I really liked the color of that coral. I'm not ready for acro but my anacro is growing nicely. Might venture into acro soon if I can keep my parameters in line for a little bit.
Honestly..if you can keep one..you can keep the other. The are very similar in care levels.
