This happened within 2 days because on Tuesday the fish was fine. Today I noticed it has white marks down its body on both sides. Its not ich as its not dots. It almost looks like it was stung or bite by something. But I have no clue what it could be. These are the best pictures I could get.

I can't tell if those are just misplaced (damaged) scales or if it is something else. In which case, velvet or bacterial would be the likely suspects.

@Humblefish
No fish or corals have been added. Everything in the tank is months old. Other fish are fine. It looks like burn marks..

Looks like missing scales to me. Probably won't get infected because it's a wrasse, but if it does it should turn red or white.

Yes after observing more today the white areas are indents they are not protruding. Why would the fish lose scales in less than 48 hours? All other fish are fine. The wrasse seems very skidish.

He was either beat up or inadvertently beat himself up (darted into something when spooked or chased, or possibly darted past a nem.).
I have the same problem. The only thing I noticed is the cleaner wrasse chases only him for some reason. I do have other wrasses in the tank. Could be the cleaner wrasse attacking him instead of cleaning?
