I need to remove some radio active dragon eyes from DT but just wanted to make sure these aren't known to cause issues if popped / torn while removed. In this particular case they're around a bunch of SPS so I don't want to start messing with calk past and tick off the sps. Prefer to just tear them out if they aren't known to cause problems. Thanks

I love those zoas.

I know right! I keep getting sold on "high end" expensive zoas but the oldies like these and watermelons are still my favorite. Here's the colony I'm at war with trying to hold back until my new sps frags can encrust.

If you need to get rid of them I’ll take them :)

Alright results are in. Squeezing, popping, tearing etc. of quite a few of these had no impact on anything including the acros right near where I torn some out.

I tried to ride it out but they eventually killed one of my nicer vivid signature acro frags that didn't have time to encrust before the zoas reached it. They starved the base of the frag for light before it could encrust which caused it to RTN. :(

Lesson learned. They're pretty easy to pluck out with tweezers so I just remove a patch around the acro frags until they encrust sufficiently. Once encrusted they seem to hold the zoas back fine.
