Radion 15% sale Question

My take on this with everything that’s been going on , ecotech could have to raise the price 200% before you see a 15% off sale . It’s sad and they are the light of choice for me . Great lights .its just not them , everything is going up !!! Look at apex , look at everything in this hobby because of the supply chain issues and manufacturing or lack of manufacturing , parts scarcity , etc I see a lot of people leaving the hobby . I just witnessed a reef store just go out of business after years in business , it’s Sad :crying-face:. I might be exaggerating a bit on them raising the price to 200% but I think you get the picture . My opinion is if you can afford it and afford the hobby in the future then go for it . If you see it on sale and you know your going to need it in the future. The sale you wait for may be more expensive than what it is now . Never thought car dealerships would be paying for and selling used cars at such high prices because they can’t get new cars on their lots.

Ecotech doesn't run Memorial Day deals. At least, it is very out of the norm for them. The G5s only went on sale to clear inventory for the G6 fixtures that release in the next week or so.

i mean if the g6 is 10% off I might as well go with that no? Im in no rush just wondering if the radions get discounted ever. I was told that 10% is the usual. Maybe G6 at 10% is better than G5 at 15%. A little more money to get the new fixture.

I fully suspect the G6 to have a price increase at release. Then they will have another before Black Friday rolls around (assuming they even put them on sale at BF.)

The G5 will be upgradable to the G6 if you are afraid of missing out. You can upgrade in 2-3 years. The G5 is an incredibly good light. If I had to bet, the G6 will have more LEDs driven at a lower wattage but spread out more. Ecotech has room in the current housings to increase the LED spread.
