Radion G5 Blues

Best LED I have ever used by a long shot. I would wait atleast a month until they iron out a couple kinks if you can.

Unless you like the tank very very white I recommend the Blue fixture but you really cant go wrong either way.

I saw a lot of them are coming in broken from poor boxing from the manufacturer. If people have these and are hearing creaking or poping noises yours might have a crack or loose/broken part somewhere. Some people had well over 50 percent of their fixtures come broke. I am glad they moved on from the led cluster for sure.

I got 3 delivered on Thursday.
First thing I noticed was the case was cracked/broken on all 4 bolts on the bottom of all 3.
Not exactly what I would call a quality product. Not when they are $840.
I've seen others mention this and other issues as well.

Absolutely love mine. My acros never looked so good. Pics dont do justice. They aren't as blue as they appear in pics

I went to the G5 pros from G4 pros and imo the pros have a better spectrum for sticks, and zero issues with pros compared to the blues

90% of issues are on blues compared to pros

my pros look very good and similar to G4

Overall, great PAR spread, less disco ball even without diffusers. Blues don’t look as blue as AB+ on Gen4s. Fans are noisy and app is garbage

What are you running AB+?

How do you figure? I’d say most issue are related to Mobius and poor packaging of initial batch

based on that thread most ive seen are blues and talking with others. I agree poor packing too, I had 3 xr15 G5 pro and 2 xr30 pro G5 preordered come in good, maybe luck lol.

What issues are you referring too though? Packaging and Mobius issues would be across Pros/Blues. Not seeing any issues that are specific to the way the LEDs are arranged?

Packaging, not sure why maybe because more people are buying the blue. Just seems more bad frames on blues based on pics

Interesting, Tim at ETM did say that they’ve added foam to the packaging. I wonder if they packaged a bunch of blues before hand

So they packaged them with no foam the first time around? That stinks. I would hope it’s really thick next time and all the breaking issues are taken care of. Somewhat bad for the hobby if the number one led has issues like this imo.

I ordered mine on day one. I got 4 Blue's, mine had the foam and none had cracks. I did get a defective one where half the lights were out.

Yep no foam, just folded cardboard holding everything in place that got displaced/crushed easily.
