If I set the cloud cover feature to 50% will my intensity randomly reduce by 50% or is there a 50% chance of cloud cover?

I am pretty sure it is the probability of a cloud (similar to how storm is probability of storm). If you set it it 100%, it does not dim it 100%.
Makes sense. Seems like it can go either way.
I guess my next question is how often will it happen if it’s at 100%? I’d guess every hour.

Its a 50% chamce of random cloud cover between the 2 points its active on.

I set it up a couple of days ago, today is the first time I see cloud cover, it lasted for about 40 mins.. it got so dark half the fish went to bed

I used to only enable the thunderstorm at the lowest setting. Had the wife come to me one day freaking out that the lights on the tank had gone bad . All the fish I have also would hide during it.
