Question, I have 3 G6’s mounted in my hood and wondering about heat. I have a low profile hood (10 inches) and the lights will only be about 7 inches above the water of my 150 G. The back of the hood is open, but my concern is the heat build up once I turn the lights on. New setup and haven’t turned lights on yet. Been running 2 weeks and one week with fish. I thought about mounting 2 usb computer fans in the hood to help move the hot air out the back. The lights have internal fans but being my first tank I would rather be safe if the G6’s generate a lot of heat. Anyone have experience with Radion’s mounted in hoods? Thanks!

I think you'll be fine with your plan - while the fans in the Radions are pretty efficient and don't get that hot, I think the idea of the USB cooling fans to improve airflow is probably a good idea.
