Hi I'm asking if I should pick up the radions gen 5 as all 6 of my gen 4 since all 6 of my 4 died,I have a 210 full of sps I don't know how many gem 5 I would need as I had 6 gen 4

They are on gen 6 now. Are talking about the xr 15 or xr 30. The gen 6 is a big jump with wider light spread.

I have gen 5’s and are happy with them and they sell upgrade kits for the 5’s to upgrade to 6’s . Curious as to why all 6 gen 4’s went out all at the same time ? Did you do a factory reset on them if they were linked together?

We had some bad storms and tornados up here my house had a power surge and since then they won't even power on

I just got 3 xr30 g5 for my new build...they were like half price of the g6s.. I am only guessing but to save that amount of money, the g6 cant be twice as good

Home insurance claim maybe?

It’s just a option but you might see if ecotech could repair them cheaper then to replace . Unless of course you set on upgrading. Or have a couple fixed and buy a couple new so that it’s not a hit all at once to the wallet . Just a thought .

The xr15 and xr30 g5 pros that I have grow coral. Mixed bunch of salty goodness.

Where did you get the g5’s Half the price ? Were they new or used ?

I got them online from an Australian seller Reef Underground in Queensland. They were $850 AUD so $544 USD... I just looked and they are now sold out. For XR30s these are super cheap for a new light. I have friends coming over from Oz in a week and they are bringing them over for me.
