No - you need to use synthetic sea salt!

Hello, thanks. I won't do that then. Do you know if I can put an upside down bowl in there to sit the rock on. The current rock is not very big and so if I put it on a ceramic unpainted bowl then it will give the fish more shelter. Just to clarify so you get the proper advice did you already add table salt to make the saltwater you've been adding to the tank? If so is the salt Iodized?Is it just normal table salt?
