Alright time for a tank update.

Everything was going peachy keen until I decided to do to much. I tried to use some reef cement to cement some rocks underwater being lazy, well it didn't work made a mess and spiked my PH, so I lost a shrimp bro :( and an encrusting goni :(

Other than that, everything looks good, I hope, I'm no expert.

Tank Updates:

Huge shoutout to Adam at
Fraggarage.ca
Canadian Dealer
I know he doesnt have sponsership so this will be the only promotion.

I was generously sold some large portion frags. My wife and I were excited to say the least.

Merry Fragmas to us.

No fish this is coral and Invert QT. I feed reef roids and phyto 2x a week.
Very nice!

I'm banning myself from buying any new corals or inverts until I get my invert QT set up. :(

Yeah seen your problems :(

I have to say I hope a larger tank is easier. It is way to easy to throw off salinity when doing WC. I tripple check salinity before adding and yet it still has a way of not being exact. I'm going to go for less W/C now and use some seachem products to remove some nitrates and phospates. Looking to keep nitrates at 2-5 ppm and phosphates at just over 0. I have stuff to dose nitrates if need be.

Larger tanks are a double edged sword. They have more stability but they also have more momentum. If you have a problem in a smaller tank it is much easier to correct than in a larger tank. It's just easier to develop problems in a smaller tank imo.

My problems really aren't too bad. Nothing I haven't really expected and nothing compared to the people I see losing all their fish. I have yet to lose a fish in my DT which I consider a major victory. Once I get through the new tank uglies I expect things to stabilize.

Yep, and while it sucks to loose a small frag in QT atleast it's not your DT with $$$$ dollars.

I thought tank automation was a gimmick. Nope. It is a quality of life issue now!
