Ran out of excuses

Well,
I am finally going to do it. After much thought, I am going to buy a Xbox 360 tomorrow. The introduction of the 60GB Pro has finally made me commit. Also, I have read on a gamers forum that it appears Microsoft is going to drop the prices on the 360's again. If anyone's interested, I could post the link to the article.
So, tomorrow is my big day.
Thanks to all of you who helped me make this decision with your opinions.
I will probably get a PS3 in the future, if they ever drop the price.
Now, what do you all think of these games:
-Bioshock
-Assasin's Creed
-The Orange Box
-Gears of War
I like FPS, RPG's especially, but don't like the horror games at all.
Any thoughts?

cod4 hardcoure TDM rules but just remember your going to suck at it in the beginning. Heck i still do suck at it lol.

COD4 best game, if you like RPGs then Oblivion and Two worlds are a MUST! also command and conquer series is SO fun! do NOT buy assains creed it gets boring after ten minutes the whole game u do the SAME thing! Bio shock is AWSOME as well! orange box is not so fun, and gears of war is a MUST as well!

gears of war---- good fps game. better played with 2 though

not really sure bout the others though. personally i like resident evil but im not sure if they make it for xbox 360.

gears of war made me want to hurl. I hate the way the follow camera moves in that game, especially when you run (which is almost all the time). I don't get motion sick during anything else (video games, cars, planes, etc.), but this game did it somehow.

Haven't heard of Two worlds or oblivion. Will have to look those 2 up.
Probably going to get COD4 at Gamestop tomorrow.

oblivion is the best gameon 360 IMO if u like roleplaying games...its the type of game thats never really done AMAZING! two words is ALOT of fun also but not as in depth or hard as oblivion. The actual title of the game is The Elder Scross IV: Oblivion. Another AMAZING RPG is Phantasy Star

I thought it was elder scrolls???? sorry im not much into that type of game though I cant WAIT for Diablo 3 to come out :D. I am hoping it will be for the 360 and not just the pc but only time will tell.

I bought the Halo 1 and 2 games already. Will be buying Halo 3 next payday. Anyone play those?

My wife plays halo 3. Its hard for me to go back into playing halo 3 after playing cod4. halo 3 is VERY slow and it takes FOREVER to move. Before cod4 I didnt think that about halo 3 but after playing cod4 I do think that. Cod4's movement is just so nice and when you aim at something and shoot you actually hit what you aim at.

if you like RPG's FABLE 2 will be the game of the year. The last one sucked me in to the point my wife threw it out when i was at work.

amazing game on original XBOX, the sequel should be even better.

Oblivion is a good RPG. I love halo but got bored with it. The 3 big FPS's are Gears of War, Call of Duty 4, and Halo 3. Make sure you check the reviews of a game on Gamespot before you buy, if in doubt.

Upcoming games, Star Wars: The Force Unleased will 100% be one of the best single player games of the year. The demo is up so if you feel like downloading it, I highly recommend it. Fable 2 will be amazing, Gears 2 will be amazing. Then next year I cant say too much yet, because games that are scheduled for 2009 release are usually just figures, probably will be pushed back by the publishers.

Good luck with the 360. I love mine haha, the only thing that gets money out of my tank fund, and thats only sometimes.

in orange box, portal is all that i liked. i've played that all the way through many times. very fun game, can't wait for the sequel.

the other three are MUST HAVES!!! :D bioshock is probably my all time favorite game of any system!

my Lord! Fable........ that game has the ability to suck you in, and is one you think about when you're not playin it, more than any other i've played! i've had dreams about fable. thought about fable whilst sitting on the potty, in the shower. fantasized about my 3 wifes.......

fable II will get me divorced. i think junior's wife will come and throw mine away while i'm at work! :D :D :D

Thanks guys. Will try and send friend requests when i get my wireless set up this week. Just couldn't get myself to buy the console, extended warrenty AND the wireless all at the same time. I almost fainted when I saw the total for the above stuff. Just don't laugh at me when you see me on Xbox Live.
I am probably going to suck for awhile. The controller is kind of hard to get used to.
So, it looks like COD4, Fable and Oblivion are the games most of you think I should start with?

Bioshock looks good. The orange box has like 4 games and Portal looks kind of fun.
Might pick that up too,
