I like some SPS but have never understood the need some have to go that route. If it ain't working go with what works! if you ever wanna go SPS there's a basic formula that works if you want a few pieces.

RTN is a generic name and it can be caused by lots of things just like stn. It could be cause by water parameters , swings in parameters or some kind of disease like what was mentioned by liquid360. Very little is known about most coral diseases and most solutions are anecdotal.
