Hi everyone!
I'd like to get some feedback on my feeding schedule and what I'm feeding. I think I'm done adding more livestock/corals to my tank. . . .
This past week, I got the last of my fish (stocking plan) and just want to firm up my feeding and schedule.
My tank is a NUVO Fusion 40 Pro - AIO.
- FIlter floss chambers on both side, alternating replacement during weekly water change (so one side gets replaced each week)
- Chemi-pure blue nano (8 of those nano pouches, 4 each side in chambers) replace monthly alternating (so 1/2 swap out every month)
- Nuvoskim DC midsize Skimmer sitting in the 2nd chamber.
- 10% water change weekly
- No other dosing or chemical additives (like no vibrant or other control doses)
Livestock:
- 2 Clowns (black & white)
- Yellow watchman goby
- Purple firefish
- Aiptasia eating Filefish
- Royal Gramma Basslet
- Tailspot blenny
Corals: Mixed reef (mainly softies/zoa/LPS)
- Mushrooms
- Kenya tree
- Zoas
- Duncan
- Candy Canes
- Acans
- Birdsnest
- Anacropora
- Digi
- Stylo
Inverts:
- Over a dozen Snails (mixed) (trochus, nassarius, cerith, stomatella)
- Pistal Shrimp (YWG buddies)
- Tuxedo Urchin
- 2 Scarlett Hermits
- 2 - 3 Berghia nudibranch (Aiptasia is fun!)
- I did dose copepods once. . . I don't really see them any more
FIshfood blend:
- Shotglass with tank water - pinch Flakes, 2 pellets (mashed), 2 pellet size - algae wafer (mashed), 2 pellet size - frozen mysis shrimp
Coral blend:
- Shotglass slurry - recommended package feeding of Reefroids, Reef chili, Algaebarn Oceanmagik (phyto)
Sorry I had to preface all of that
So now my schedule is:
Daily:
- late-morning Fishfood blend
- late-afternoon flakes and hand-feed nori to urchin
M/W/Sat:
- late-morning Coral blend
A few questions:
- Is the blends good? should I add/remove anything/supplement? Am I missing nutrition for example the filefish, he seems to like the blend. Open to suggestions/feedback
- Too much feeding? Not enough? Food overload?
I'm always open to anyone's thoughts. I'm about a year and a half into this and I'm still learning new things.
Thanks!
J.
