RBTA placement

I brought home an rbta yesterday and I got it to anchor its foot down in a pretty decent spot but I figured it would stay there long. How to you encourage one to move to a different spot? Do you have to direct your flow towards a certain area? It is currently behind the rocks so it's not exactly an ideal spot lol.

Thata the story of my life with rbtas. You can change flow or move the rock....but really take should be set the way you want it and let him do its thing...they typically reach towards the light and come out of hiding after a while of aclimating

Looks like he's trying to come out of hiding now. Guess I'll just have to wait and see!

I have a SB Reef Box. It's pretty much the first actual light I've bought for my tank. I really like it so far. Only down fall is the light is just slightly too small for my tank but it hasn't really caused any major issues. Great light and for a great price. Here's a better picture of him when I first put him in yesterday. Only paid 40 bucks for him. I feel like I got a pretty good deal. What do you think?

Great color. I paid only a few bucks less for much smaller or so id say a pretty good deal! Mine has after 3 weeks just fully aclimated to the halides and looks happy.

Mine hid behind the rocks and under them for a week, then moved around for 2 more weeks. No powerhead casualties thankfully. Mine are under a 6 bulb T5

A lot of people have trouble with them moving but mine, after a split, will move once and generally stay there. The key to them moving is usually light. They like a lot of light and if not enough where you put them they will move upwards towards the light. For a new anemone what yours did is pretty typical. The first one in this tank kinda hid, then peeked out moving towards the light and then settled down. Yours looks healthy and happy in that last pic so unless a problem spot I would leave them alone and let it settle.
