Rbta splitting?

So my Rbta has been acting weird and moving around in its corner past few day. Nothing has changed in the tank. I've had this nem about 6 months. It is pretty big about 12" across. Now I see it has stretched out looks like it has anchored itself in 2 spots. Is it getting ready to split

It possible and I doubt that anybody can say for sure.

It could also be that it has anchored the foot in a safe spot behind some rocks and the stretched out to get light. But if anything irritates it, it can retract behind the rock. Anemones are like 90% and can change size fairly dramatically.

Mine wasnt reaching out quite this far and was similar size. I woke up this morning and looked into my tank and it had split into 3 over night! Hows yours doing?

It never split. Just reaches out really far. This thing is so big it's messing up corals.

It not splitting, just extending for light. Most of mine like to do this too and keep their foot tucked away

I have had mine since Black Friday when I got it was 3 or so inches so in about 6.5 months it got to about 10-12 ish inchs. Now I have 3 and I won an auction for another from my LFS cause I wanted 2 now Ill have 4!!! Once I go in and pick it up. :oops: One of my local fellow hobbyists splits every 6 months or so, its crazy.

Glad yours is doing well! Anyone know what the max head size is on them?
