Reach for the sky anemone

Lately my anemone has been reaching from
It's base. I know that it means it's not getting enough light, but my radions are at 100. Could there be another reason?

Maybe it's hungry. Do you target feed regularly?

The two of mine do the same, mine have kept their bubbles though. I target feed about every two weeks. I was wondering the same thing..

Yodahart- yes I feed every other day when I feed my plate coral.

Mykessocalreef- my bubbles come and go, I'm thinking maybe it wants more flow? Can't get much more light lol

Judging from the location of it next to the glass :) even thought your radions are at 100% edges may not be recieving much par :)

what the length of the tank and how many radions do you have on it ?

I have one radion on the left side of the tank. It's 3 ft long and it's almost directly above the anemone. The right side of my tank is all chalices and zoas. Not quite sure how to get it more light if that's the case. !

If it was the light, I'd think it'd be travelling upwards instead of just reaching.

I've had these guys for years. They tend to stretch out every once in awhile. Seems pretty normal.

Agreed. This is normal behavior. Nems do lots of weird things with no real discernible reason. I've kept lots, and some bubble while others don't (even when they're clones and right next to each other), others will stretch while others don't. It's just a nem thing. :-)

Just like others have said; completely normal. Most bubble tips like to keep their 'foot/base' in some crevasse of the rock work. Then they'll stretch up to where they can get the amount of light that they like. Doing this, it makes it much easier for the bubble tip to retract into it's 'foot/base' deep in the crevasse if it feels the need.
