Can any one help me by steering me to right place or break down all the different types of reactors there are what are the purpose what do you run in them how long is media good for and so on I know it's a lot of info I know nothing about them and trying to figure what to use in my sump on tank I'm starting

New tank? If so, then you have time to learn and stuff. You should not be running any reactors until the cycle is well completed and not usually until your tank can handle nitrate - 9-12 months. Anything that you do with a reactor to interfere with nature will need to be repaid many times over on the back end. Just let nature work for now.

Thank you would you do a refugium in sump or just a skimmer or both

Both. They do different things. You won't be able to have a successful refugium until your tank matures a bit and algae starts to grow... maybe 2-3 months.

Yes know tank has to cycle when would start refugium and skimmer not need till bioload on tank right
