This is my second saltwater tank. My first was a 30 gallon bow front on canister filtration. This tank taught be a lot about the saltwater, but I am very much an amateur still.

My current tank is a 120 gallon (4' x 4' x 2') display tank with approximately 30 gallons sump water volume. I started building and collecting supplies Oct 2015, eventually filling with water to start cycle Dec 2016.

I haven't been in a rush with this tank! Instead, Setting small reachable goals forcing me to practise the patience this hobby requires. A quality I do NOT naturally possess.

To date I am still a FOWLR tank, but will be adding coral life shortly.

I did not enjoy my plumbing experience. Multiple leak points and resealing bulkhead had me frustrated. In the end I conquered, and obtained a leak free set up. I am fairly happy with the outcome, but sure some modification/upgrades will take place down the road.

With the left over black acrylic I had from sump build, I made a stand for my skimmer.

My aquascape leaves a lot to be desired and I believe my lack of patience and experience play at lot in the pile of rocks design. Maybe in my next build I can improve. Shhhhh don't tell my Wife, she thinks this will be my largest build.

Most of the time I can only think about all the things I want to finish or upgrade. Stand enclosure. Water mixing station. Getting corals in tank.

I try to take the time to sit & enjoy it.
