Just received a lid for my IM25 lagoon and the mesh netting isn't straight. I expected the mesh to be lined up straight. Am I being unreasonable? This lid came from a highly recommended vendor. Never mind that the entire thing is warped and doesn't sit flat on the tank, that's clearly not acceptable. But what about the netting? My mesh on my DIY Menards screen straighter than this...

That's why I hate ordering without seeing, you really are playing roulette.
I would definitely return a warped lid, why would anyone want to keep a warped lid. You paid good money and you expect that it will lay flat to help secure your fish. As far as the netting, again it's your hard earned money, don't settle.

If your DIY worked, keep using it and keep that cash in your pocket.
I'm a huge proponent of DIY.

Good luck with the return!!!

Yeah, I'm definitely returning it because of the bowing, but was just wondering what others threshold is in regards to the mesh. Thanks!

My OCD would be in overdrive if the netting was not straight. It doesnt change the function but I do not think that expecting straight netting is being unreasonable.

Finally got the replacement lid. It sits flatter than the last lid, but it still bows up a bit. Oh yeah and the netting I was assured would be straight is not straight. I'll never do business with Clearview lids/Artfully Acrylic again. Worth noting, 2 weeks ago I ordered a lid from Kraken Reef for my WB10, I already received it and it's a fantastic product.

I looked at my Clearview lid and the screen is slightly off center also like yours. I honestly would have never noticed it probably and it serves its purpose for me. Lid on mine is not bowed and I'm satisfied with their product but if it's not to your standards send it back

I didn't really want to do this, but after waiting 5 weeks for another subpar product, I don't feel too bad about it.

I can see why a lid with cutouts like that would be more difficult to have the mesh nice and straight. But on just a rectangle with no cutouts, it's not difficult, it just takes a little effort and care.

Do those middle support tabs come in contact with the rim of the tank?

There are a total of 12 tabs around lid the hold it in place. It fits perfectly for my tank set up.
