Very nice Alex. It looks as of the islands have become one with overhanging corals. Very natural.
Yes. The Red Planet is touching the Austera banana and the montipora Sunset.
I'm letting it go, for now. But I think I'll have to trim it down, heavily.
This is one of the aquariums that I would love to see in person!

Does the sand stay clean on its own along the trench.
Yes.
Kind of.....rsrsrsrsr

I have a strong circulation, a sand sifting starfish and a gobie.
This combo keep it "clean".

I decided that was time to a big trim in the aquascape
Some colonies were overgrown, some didn't interest me anymore.
I thought I needed to open space between the islands, to regain the original concept of the scape.
And last but not least important, I wanted to show off more sand.
So I removed a total of 7 sps colonies. Some let a frag behind. Some didn't
I also removed 6 large colonies of zoas.
Some sps colonies got a major trim.
And the final result is this:
