I took the summer off from raising fry and started back up in January.

Here is a short video of the growout tank with some picasso fry. The black is starting to come in. These guys in the video were born 1/17 & 1/27

Picasso hatch went well last night. Looks like we have a bunch of fry. They are a few hours old here.

I tried a new technique for a pair that won’t lay called “doubling down” where I give them a nest from another pair to spur them into spawning.

Here is the introduction:


And the aftermath:


The male was tending the nest the female however ate the eggs.

We will see in a few days of it helped. If anything they got some good nutrition lol.
