thanks

I’ve only been using ARM for a few months out of necessity, but it needs a lower ph to melt causing you to use more CO2 and also creating a greater negative impact on tank PH.

A properly tuned carx does not affect tank ph.
I run Tunze manmade media and it dissolves at 6.7.
Never had an issue.

Even 6.7 is lowering your tank ph. Adding anything lower than your normal tank ph is lowering it.

No its excess co2 that lowers ph.
I have run my carx this way for 8 months now with no change in the tanks ph.
I run around 30ml a minute through my carx with no fluctuation of tanks ph.

I have run ARM and the Reborn. I prefer the Reborn. The ARM would break down into powdery gunk more readily. I luckily had a bunch when I ordered years ago and have not had to change out though will very soon.

excess co2 is one way to lower ph but Adding anything with low ph will drop your ph, the same as adding anything with a high ph (kalkwasser) will raise it.

Prefer the big box with coarse but got the fine one. That should hold me over for six months. I am hoping I can use even less CO2 with the fine.

BTW, I am using 6.83 +/- 0.03 in my CARx. What is everyone use for your Reborn.

Just got lucky and happened to be glancing at my phone right as the in-stock email arrived. They had 20 when I ordered; 0 an hour later.

I‘m slow my BRS messages get filtered to my junk mail folder for some annoying reason so I missed it until it was too late. It’s ok though I am ok right now on it and I’m glad to see it coming back into stock. I’ll just have to be more diligent about checking my junk mail folder lol.
