Recirc. Co2 scrubber pulling skimmate foam

Does anyone have this issue and have a suggested work around? I tried a peice of foam over the tube, but it clogs within hours and blocks air flow.

While I do not have an answer for the skimmate issue, I'm not a fan of recirculating skimmer air because you give up the oxygenation aspect of the skimmer, and I do not recommend it.

Thank you for your insight and that's a valid concern that I haven't considered. Thankfully I have a tank (50g) with only 3 fish, so demand is presumably lower. Also, I think my need outweighs the loss in O2. My pH was routinely 7.5-7.8, sometimes dipping into the 7.4s. With 3 dogs and 2 people in our sealed up 1200 SF home, CO2 is an issue. This issue was tested many times when I would open the windows and pH would rocket. I have been running a skimmer line outside to reduce this issue for a couple years, but I felt compelled to try a different method as keep the window open was effecting my energy usage here in Florida.
