1. Redsea max e nano
2. Innovative marine 20 or 25
3. Waterbox aio

I found out with stand, shipping and equipment
It's pretty much same price at the end.

Just keeping it simple once in a wc
Maximim 3 to 4 fishes with inverts and mixed reef.

I have the Nuvo Fusion 30 and I love it. I know you didn't list it, but the back sump part is great if you think through your plan. I have a UV, 2 Heaters, Media Chamber, Refugium, Tunze Skimmer, APEX Probes, APEX ATK, and AWC lines all going in there and it fits.

Not hating on narrow width and height?

One thing makes me go for Red sea and waterbox is they have more bigger width and height.

Just curious because I never saw im tank except the fusion 20

What’s your main reason for wanting an AIO? I’ve had both. A tank with a sump is much much easier to maintain and keep stable imo.

And I think as long as you keeping busy on husbandary on wc and dosing testing, your limit of bioload, you dont need extra 5 g volume is my opinion

Get the IM Lagoon 25. The tank is well built and the footprint for aquascaping is great. I have the IM Lagoon 50 and I love it. You really can’t go wrong with Innovative Marine imo.

That’s epic! Trying to do something similar on my 40b build!
I have a 32 biocube im replacing with the 40b. I found it impossible to clean the back chambers after the first year and a half. The pump gets clogged often, lots of headaches with good equipment not fitting in it.
I’ve had good luck with it coral wise, it grows coral like crazy, but I’m just a bigger fan of the display and sump setup now and the endless options it provides.

Detritus on the back is manageable?
There are areas under the two chambers on either side that can be hard to reach. I’m going to use a canister filter sort of like a vacuum cleaner to clean out those areas. I’ll just stick the hose end down there, suck out any detritus through the filter and return the water back into the tank. Shouldn’t be too difficult. I have a lot of stuff in the middle chamber so my hand doesn’t fit very well. The idea of just feeding the tubing down there and sucking out the detritus seemed like the easiest solution.

Too much work. Loool trust me.

I think hob equips on 40b is pretty cool too with black paint back.

Sometime I get confused if I'm looking for nice furniture or fun hobby to do lol.

Loving the idea keeping it simple these days.

But you enjoying tank, no overflowing from clogging etc right? Satified with quality so far?

The quality of the tank itself is excellent. I would rather they had designed it without the space under the chambers but it’s not a problem. No clogging of any kind so far. It’s actually pretty clean back there. I didn’t rinse my sand at all so when I put it in the tank there was a lot of silt. It mostly collected in the bottom of the heater and skimmer chambers and I got that out with a turkey baster. I’ve got the biggest return pump I could fit in the back chamber and it’s turned up pretty high so I think the flow in the middle chamber is pretty good which keeps whatever gets back there from settling. I’m sure there will be some buildup and I’ll get that with the canister filter vacuum idea. I’m definitely enjoying the tank, I love the footprint.

Thanks for the details. Are you using aps stand? Or ikea? Seems like you need lot of height on stand since it's so low on heights

You’re welcome. I’m using the aps stand. You have to get a little creative to mount equipment but I found a couple of threads here that had great ideas. I’m pretty happy with how it came out. There’s pics in my build thread if you want to see how I mounted my Apex and other electronics. It’s pretty simple. The height of the stand is perfect for where we are viewing the tank. I wouldn’t want it any higher.
