One I got I think is exactly like the eheim except usb and wifi

Ok...I bought the Eheim BUT now I find that it will not fit an Aqueon tank rim. I called Eheim and the tech said he just has his sitting on his glass top. He had me measure the tank rim (1") and then said - Nope, it will not fit. Suggestions?

I think some manufacturers make Clip on shelves for small equipment. I remember having one years ago for a freshwater aquarium
