Why would you think you are doing anything wrong? It looks great!! Be ready for increase in alk consumption as Coraline and corals grow more and more.

I agree. I scrutinized and honestly I think this looks really good.

Since it’s early on, one regret I have on my own tank is I never considered what to do with the back wall. Encrusting corals takes a while to grow and I wish I started sooner. I picked two lepto’s, superglued the plugs (cut off stem) to the back glass, then you just sit back and let it grow out. My overflow and back wall are just voids of darkness. It will look crazy at night when it’s covered in these orange leptos

Don’t get plating coral for the glass, it will just grow outwards and cause shadowing issues down the line. You need encrusting coral like certain montipora, lepto, cyphastrea etc

What lighting are you using?

Everything looks good keep it up!

I’m using the AI 16hd and tbh this photo is old. The corals are bigger. For some reason I couldn’t post the video I recorded.

Yeah my alk gets consumed alot but I installed a dosing pump and figured out my consumption rate and adjusted my pump to add the amount I need to stay at 8.3-8.5
