I'm upgrading to a 120 gallon tank. Looking to try and integrate my return pump(s) and wave makers with my Profilux4. Any recommendations on pumps and wave makers that are fully controllable?

My LFS carries the Sicce SDC line and I'm seeing mixed reviews on Google. Can the Profilux4 control these pumps?

Right now I've been budget and using Jebao pumps and wave makers. I have not seen anything on being able to control them. Is that still the case?

Thanks,
-Chris

Tunzes wavemakers and all pumps/wavemakers accepting a 1-10 V signal works too. I have two Versia stream - they work well in a 80 gallon tank.

@Vinny@GHLUSA - I was looking into the GHL pumps and wave makers. Can the Versia Flow return pumps be ran outside of the water? My sump already has a bulkhead installed to allow an external return pump. I could not find anything in my research to confirm that.

Also, is there a chart showing the gph vs head height? I'm guessing I have 4.5-5 ft of hight from the base of my sump to the top of the tank. I'm looking for about 500 gph turn over rate for my 120 gallon.

Thanks!
-Chris

Hi Chris,

Yes, it can be installed externally.

Flow chart can be found in the Versia Flow product page.

Thanks for the information. Guess I was on the sales product page in the store and didn't see that information!

Thanks,

Remember to calculate from the surface of the sump to the highest point your pipework reach and also take with the pressure losses in the pipe work. Soft pipe bends is better than 90 degrees and do not use too narrow pipes. I use around 1" pipes and 5 pcs of 90 degree, 1 soft bends and 1 valve- Length of the pipework - around 2 m (7 ft). If I only look to the lift height - my present pump should give around 1800 L/H (Around 500 gph) In reality - is somewhere between 275-350 gph. I do not run Versia flow at the moment.

Sincerely Lasse
