I lost power for several hours the other day and for the life of me, I cannot get the Edge bars to connect. I have deleted the app, soft reset the Edge bars, removed the WiFi IDs that were saved….
I’m at a loss.
Ideas or advice would be appreciated!

Shouldn’t have had to do any of that. Upon a power loss if they don’t reconnect (they usually do), you just need to unplug everything for 30 seconds then plug it back in. What probably happened is they tried to come back online before your network was back online. Then defaulted to manual mode.

I had to use a magnet to reset my edge bar so I could reconnect to the app. They were disconnected from the app because I didn't have them in app control mode and instead of reading the manual I thought I should delete the edge bar from the app in my attempt at troubleshooting. Here's the manual link if anyone needs it.

The Meridian 45 reconnected instantly once I hit the reconnect button on the app. The Edge bars are still giving me fits.

@VintageReefer I understand that and I’ve toggled them to app mode and still can’t get them to connect.

@Daasmo
Thank you sir. See my post above.
NVM, we posted at the same time!

I keep getting this error. In the app, when I go to add the Edge bars, in the drop down menu it doesn’t list the size like it used to. It just lists the model.

create a support ticket on their website,
Best way to get help from them

It is probably due to the 3 day weekend. Since July 4 landed on a Saturday, its observed on Friday by most businesses. Then we have Sunday where most places are closed also. You will probably hear back on Monday

If I can’t get these connected in the next 48 hours. I’m taking them down and selling them. I will go with Helix bars instead.
@Reef Breeders any ideas how to get these working?

I feel you brother. I would try to hold off for a few more days to give RB a chance to assist. I have no affiliation nut I have found them to be very helpful. They could just be away for the holiday for some R&R

I completely understand it being a holiday. However, it shouldn’t be this hard.
I have deleted the app and reinstalled it probably 20 times, deleted WiFi names for the lights, soft reset the lights….still nothing. I can manually control them which won’t be much help when I go back to work. For $500 a light, it should be easier.

You are right, it should be easier and it probably wasn’t this challenging to set them up when you first got them.

If the standard instructions aren’t working, then you might have a part that broke during the power outage and are over-frustrating yourself attempting processes and steps that should work but don’t.

I’m sure they will help figure it out with you when the weekend is over.

Hope you had a great July 4th!
