This red branching thing is growing on a rock in my refugium. Is it macroalgae. It is about an inch tall from the rock. Do I need to supply any more info for an ID?

Thanks for the response. It looks very much like the Nemastoma. The link helps. I didn't know if it would be a problem in my tank. It seems to be growing better than my chaeto algae.
No problem! I just listed all three algae since it’s likely that they are all being confused with one another in the hobby (in particular, I think the elongated forms of Nemastoma might actually be a species of Scinaia like this).
