I originally thought this was red bubble algae, so quarantined the coral, but I’m not so sure anymore. Looks kind of like a macro to me at this point. Thoughts?

Botryocladia is a beautiful specimen that does very well in the marine aquarium. It features stiff, lightly calcified branches with bright red air bladders. It resembles a cluster of grapes and is sometimes referred to as Red Grape Caulerpa, although it is not a species of Caulerpa at all.

Appears to be botryocladia which grows on a slightly calcified branch with bright red air bladders

Not caulerpa but confused with it
That’s good to know, I think I have some too lol.

I recently bought a complete set up for $450. Was covered in hair algae. I’ve been working on getting algae out and this is starting to grow

My plan is softies and macros for this tank. Been adding things for last few weeks like the rock Nems-

but now I know it’s not what I thought it was lol.

So I pulled out the rock that it was on and took some closer pictures. These pictures were taken last week. I thought I uploaded them but it doesn’t appear to be on this thread. For whatever reason, it doesn’t look like mine are really growing on stalks. I’m so confused...

Bfragale You have the red grape macro and good work on getting this aquarium under control! I hope my plant is the same as yours!

So follow up, I couldn’t decide and then some green bubble algae started creeping up, so I got rid of it. Haven’t seen any bubble algae for a few weeks now. Probably was red bubble algae.
