I am looking for a new or used RD3 150 watt pump.
LMK what you have.

I have the newer rd5 200 watt in both flow and pressure.

What do you think of the RD5 200 watt flow pump?
Do you think it has the typical silent flow that previous RD's are know for?

Once you compare them side by side you notice the rd5 is about 1" smaller in length, it has the carbon fiber impeller, and the controller is much smaller but more in line with other pump controller sizes. Ive had 7 rd3 pumps over the years and still have a couple on my BK skimmers. The RD3 has known issues with their controller going dead and their impellers rusting. I believe those issues are now squared away. As far as silent I couldn't tell the difference between a RD3 230watt flow and replacing it with rd5 200 watt.

My biggest issue with the Red Dragon 5 is it is not as quiet as the Red Dragon 3. Even at lower speeds.

Still looking for a RD3 150 watt pump

still looking for that RD3 150 watt pump.

I have a nib RD5 200 watt I can maybe use as a trade.

I'm not going to give up. Someone has to have a decent working RD3 150 watt they could sell.
