I noticed today one of my yellow tangs has a red mouth . Below is the following:

Currently it is in an observation tank following copper treatment.

Several air stones have been running with carbon and filter.

Today general cure was dosed at appropriate dosage.

Any thoughts what red mouth is ?

Two things often cause this with yellow tank. At times injury or mainly vitamin deficiency. While the fish is not too thin, could be more beefy. other would be bacterial infection and even stress.
This question the diet provided. What foods are you feeding it?
Regarding observation, - as long as they are isolated, consider medicating them to prep them for their permanent home. While general cure is not bad, I recommend a coppersafe application at least 21 days followed by Prazi pro treatment over 18 days with initial application, changing water at day 0 and one more application. general cure is good for flukes and velvet but not the typical issues you want to safeguard against like ich and other protozoan issues.

They’ve already ran copper power treatment and are currently on general cure.

Mysis , pellets , flakes , is what they are currently fed.

I’ve read just water changes should clear this up so I’m getting water ready.

A little concerned as yellow tang is my gem !

In lieu of General cure, I would do praziPro treatment. Its safe for all your fish. As suspected, very improper diet. TDO pellets are good abut these fish are herbivores and are lacking the vitamins and aminos required. Some foods to feed them are:
LRS herbivore diet
Formula 2 flake and frozen
TDO Pellets
small plankton
Hikari Marine cuisine
Ocean nutrition veggie diet
spirulina brine shrimp
mysis shrimp
Prime reef
Nori seaweed basted with garlic extract

Add selcon vitamins to foods occasionally

You will see change within a week when proper foods are fed. These are my yellow, now age 6 years and they get an even wider diet than what i listed:

Commonly, this is caused by an injury - getting caught in a net or being startled and running into something. Did it show up suddenly? That would confirm an injury.
The clown also seems to have some mouth discoloration - could something have scared them both, causing them to hit objects in the tank?

The discoloration is the tank being dirty. I admit I am not the best glass cleaner with the quarantine tanks.

I started to see a lot of twitching today! I dosed General cure by API since I haven’t done any treatment for bacterial and flukes post copper treatment.

I fed algae pellets today. I will give update
