hi folks..let me ask you this I want to pick up a new frag it's called Christmas mirabilis, are they look the same bcuz I already got the red planet, if you folks have any pics would be nice..!! Thank you..!!

I have both and they look almost the same I think when they are large colonies you can tell better one from the other but most people would get them confused even side by side
I'll get a pic tonight or tomorrow of colonies side by side

Agreed, I have both too...

Yes Keith post a pic,i would love to see,the reason I'm asking bcuz i don't want to end up buying a same coral with a different names

I really don't think they are the same coral the mirabilis at least what I have as maribilis gets a lite gold to the growth tips that my red planet doesn't get and the growth is slightly different but like I said most people wouldn't notice any difference even with them side by side I've never had anyone look at my tank and noticed that the mirabilis is different from the red planet they just sort of blend together

The mirabilis is the one bottom center of the pic the rest is red planet

Correct, while similar the mirabilis gets a yellowish color to it.

Cool guys now I get a frag of Christmas mirabilis btw Keith both of your colonies look very beautiful..!!

My frag of CM has been coloring up for some time now. It has a green base with red polyps. Similar to a RP under low light.

Here is a crappy phone pic of mine... (its bottom center)
