I've had my Red Sea Test Kit for several years, maybe 3 or 4. When testing my alkalinity the sample of reef water never changed color regardless of how much titration fluid I injected into it. It just remained clear. My calcium test came out fine and both kits were purchased at the same time.

Does anybody have a clue as to why the alk didn't function properly?

These kits have expiration dates. I would check that first.
