Red Sea Coral Pro Salt

I got this Coral Pro Salt by RedSea to make some new tank water for my tank. It does not have a formula for proper salinity on the container. I'm trying to make 5 gallons of reef water, I got RODI water I just need a ratio of salt to water for about 30ppt. Any help is help, tanks.

About 4-5 cups should get you close in 5 gallons and just mix in a little more until you hit your target. It will likely be just more than 4 cups, but i usually try to aim low and run up vs overshoot, so start there. Let it mix thoroughly though, i usually mix over night just to be sure its all settled.

Casual aside, 30ppt is a little low for a reef, usually shoot for 35ppt.

It should be much closer to 1/2cup per gallon of water

If weighing it’s around 145-150grams per gallon of water. That’s for 35ppt.

You are correct, thanks for the spot check. Dunno why 1 cup was stuck in my head...
