Posted this on (12/7/2016) on another site.

I've been using this for about a month. I have to say I'm really impressed.
My corals are very happy and the reds have and intensified and deepened. I guess it's because of the + components in this product.

I've adjusted alk separately on two occasions (no big deal for these results).

I've tried about all other 2 part / balling methods out there. ABC+ has been second to none of these for me.

I have a 110 gallon (Holding 80 gallons of total water volume).

If my reef continues to show the growth and coloration that I've watch transition over the past month then I'm hooked.

Sometimes we and MYSELF hammer companies about issues or things we want or wanted in their products.

It also good to start a thread and tell a company this is a great product.

So... Thank You---- "Red Sea"---- for Foundation ABC+ and please buy my DOS pumps and holding tanks from me...

Update:
Since that post I've been dosing Red Sea Colors C & D. The ABC+ already has Colors A & B in it.

I still love this system and have to give RedSeaKev and big "Thank You" for the guidance he's provided me.

My DOS pumps have been collecting dust since last fall.

My Coral colors, growth and health have never been better. :D

I still dose up alk separately from time to time but no big deal.

It's so easy to use and gives awesome results if it balances out for you.

If you would like to give it a shot then you dose 1ml of Colors C & D to every 13.3 grams of the ABC+ powder.

BRS usually has a great price on the 5 KG bucket of the ABC+.

Reds, Greens, Blues, Purples, Oranges and Yellows. :)

If you have questions or results then please post.

I have not heard that they sold but I have not talked to RedSeaKev in awhile either.
I'm pretty sure they invested heavily into the Hydra's and a lot of older S Series guys did not buy the Hydra led upgrade kit.
The only thing I heard is that their in some kind of dispute with AI over the Hydra's but that's hear say...

If your liking the ABC+ then dose the C & D colors with it and your greens and blues will take off. :)

@Marius Swart
Just talked to my lfs and Red Sea in Texas.
There's no story to behind anything in the USA. Maybe your lfs's distributor ran out, but Red Sea USA has plenty.

My (lfs) sells more Red Sea products than anybody in the South East and the E-Series / Reefers are their biggest sellers.

Half the guys at RS Texas say they using the ABC+ and it has not been discontinued.

I see your in another country. The USA is loaded with their products.

Yeah, I've noticed they come in black boxes now. Wondering if it's just the same stuff but new name/design?

They have not added anything new. They just re-named everything and new packages but it's still the same product line.

If you go to the Red Sea's site you'll see how they have re-named almost all of their products.

I have no clue why Red Sea wanted to re-name all the foundation line expect NoPox and Reef Energy??????????

I called Red Sea USA this morning and (lol) it took them a while to find the ABC+ powder on the new Red Sea website too.

Hi GoVols,

do you mix ABC+ and Colors C&D into one container and then dose it daily?
and, do you use redsea alk product to dose from time to time or could it be done with good old baking soda?

thanks
Soren

You do not dose the ABC+ every day. I dose on Mondays and Thursday's.
You pour the ABC+ power into a high flow area and then just pour the C & D "colors" in the ml cups that they come with.
So I don't combine the two but dose them at the same time by hand.

I've been using SeaChem "Reef Builder" alk powder to keep the alk inline and dose it maybe once every two weeks.

Redsea Alk foundation has extra additives over Seachem that only ups your KH . ABC+ should be dosed on a daily base depends your calcium drop , do not over dose on reef colors c & d , i dose 0.3ml as you dose per ca drop stated on their products

Sure,
You can use Red Sea alk foundation to bump your alk back inline every once in awhile. I just have a ton of Reef Builder in the garage. :)
