Hi Reefers has anyone mixed Red Sea foundation Calcium powder when I mix it (1kg with 1.8 litres of ro water) it get very hot which is normal I think but it also turns brown I don't know if that is normal or not. Do I need to filter it or can I use it like that.

It will get hot/warm when first mixing it due to the chemical reaction to water. I use the liquid version and mine is kind of a milky yellowish/brown for a while until it settles down.

Your fine that’s what it does and you’ll also get a little sediment settle in your dosing container

It’s goes like a light brown colour as you’ve found.
