Red Sea Leveling Question

Hey everyone! Just brought my Red Sea 250 to my new place. The floor is crazy un level. I was wondering if anyone has ever used the threaded leveling feet like the pictures below. If so what ones did you use or what ones would I be able to use to replace the standard rubber feet on a Red Sea stand? I just don’t feel comfortable with shims unless anyone has done it, how did you do it and is it stable?


Now the place I want to put the tank is really the only place I can put it. Its also the best place in the house so Id prefer to keep it where its at

Sorry to say that but unlevelled floor and redsea tank really doesn’t play well together. It increases the risk of seam failure on an already weak seam

Thats why I wanted to get the threaded leveling feet to make it 100% level. Shims aren’t a good option here

Yea I understand that. What I meant is that i assume there’s a high chance of the flooring to keeping moving if its that unlevelled today, even if you get it perfectly levelled today, it may change over time and it would be hard to adjust at that point, but just my opinion. Might see what other people think

I didnt mean to come off like an a**hole at all if i did. I totally understand where youre coming from but you may be right. Ill see what others say. If anything I will just put it somewhere else. If it was any other brand id say f it but with Red Sea, no room for shortcuts or errors lol

Oh lolll no i didnt it that way. I think im just in a paranoid mode seeing redsea tho i never own one

Is the desired tank location a concrete slab floor?

I don’t think you can safely use leveling feet here, primarily because the stand is made of particle board with a plastic laminate skin… the stand will start to crumble from the thin material cross-section the feet are anchored into (the bottom edge of vertical particle board “columns”)

For context to why you don’t want to poke holes in the stand’s plastic skin, here’s a piece of laminated MDF from an aquarium stand which I managed to ruin today by slicing it with a razor while it was wet:
