Hi reefers,
I'm a new reefer with only 3-month experience and this Red Sea tank is actually my second tank. My first tank was a 16 gallon Landen nano tank and I built it with equipments purcahsed on Amazon. Due to my lack of experience my first two clownfish died quickly. I then decided to set up a new display tank and change the old tank into a QT. This time I realized a short-term pain may save me from long-term troubles, so I purchased the Red Sea system and equipped it with contollers to manage the system automatically.
After 1 month of the death of my clowns, I added 2 new clownfish to the QT. When I noticed their clamped fins, I gave them freshwater dip and medicine dip with Paraguard. They recovered after several days and are looking healthy since then. I also treated my clam with freshwater dip to cure its Pinched Mantle Disease. I really learned a lot from this forum.
The display tank has been working for 1 month now. Hope it can maintain its wellness!
