My Red Sea Peninsula 500 finally was in stock and got delivered by my Local LFS. Wanted to start a build thread to document my progress. I'm new to all this so please be patient with me and thank you for all your suggestions/support.
This will be a mixed Reef and I'm not planning on adding any corals for a while as this is my first time. I want to get my water parameters right and let the tank cycle properly.
Equipment List so far
1. Peninsula 500 White
2. Sicce Syncra SDC 7.0 Return Pump
3. ReefLed 90 (3)
4. ReefLed 90 Pendant (white)
5. Red Sea RSK 300 Skimmer(Might go up to the 600)
6. Mix of Dry Marco Rocks and Caribsea Dry Rock
7. Caribsea Arag-Live Sand

***UPDATES TO EQUIPMENT****
8. 2 Red Sea Reef Wave 45
9. 57 Watt AquaUV Sterilizer
10. Apex EL with 2 ENERGY BAR 832
11. Plans to add a DOS for 2 Part Dosing
12. Plan to add an Algae Turf Scrubber (Clear Water Brand) CW100

Got the stand built and leveled for the most part (I know I will need to level again once the tank is on), I also mounted the Pendant but its not at the correct Height as yet (mounting the pendant was a pain as my ceiling is sloped and fairly high)
Next step is to place the tank on top, get the sump in and plumb everything in, then add sand, rock and water and start my cycle process.
Hoping to get all of that accomplished tomorrow.

Clearing up nicely. Will probably start the cycle process tomorrow.
FYI on getting that last door on.. It was a pain if you are following the directions from Red Sea. I had to take my sump out, screw the door hardware on the stand side and put my sump back in, then I was able to get the door installed. Directions are clearly wrong in regards to that part of the setup.

Went with Dr Tim's Nitrifying Bacteria and Dr Tim's Ammonia.
I'm up to day 11 of my cycling process but my Ammonia and Nitrites are still high.
Please see chart below.
Am I doing anything wrong? Or just being impatient? Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Tank finally cycled after about 23 days. I waited an additional 2 days while Ammonia and Nitrites were at 0 and then added 2 clown fishes. So far so good. Had them about a week now. My Nitrates were high (5PPM) so I performed a 20% water change to see if that brings down the levels. Is it safe to add more fishes or just wait until the Nitrates drop some more?

Beautiful tank and setup!! I wish I went the peninsula route when I ordered my RSR 350...:(
I originally had my mind set on a RSR 350 but my wife talked me into getting the Peninsula.
Very nice tank.
Maybe you can upgrade later. ;)

Very nice tank. Hopefully I can get to that stage one day.
What powerheads are you using?
I'm planning on using 2 Red Sea Reefwave 25 or the 45
got 2 MP40 in back and Gyre XF230 in front. Red Sea 45 will be way too much. I tried it. lol. 25 will be good. Just switched out gyre to 2 MP10. All MP40 and MP10 are on Reef Crest mode at 40%. perfect flow now, just wire showing in front is ugly
