Hi I just opened a Red Sea desktop and when I went to install the pump outlet through the back wall I noticed the ring is very loose and the silicone is barely holding on. I can push it in and it has movement. I am hoping if I fill the aquarium the pressure will hold it onto the glass. Would this potentially cause an issue that isnt easy to fix? Would you risk filling the tank? I have live rock waiting and want to get it in water asap. Is it an issue if it isnt100% sealed to the main tank?

Yes it is fully tightened, I was hoping it would help hold it against the glass but its spaced off the glass when fully set
As long as there is a gasket or silicone between the glass and fitting you should be okay.
If something is noticeably crooked of misaligned, then you may have an issue.

If there was a slight leak how detrimental to the system would it be? Im not super experienced here but essentially it wouldnt be skipping any filters as that flows into the top of the rear reservoir and would have to run through the filter and pump to get back into the tank

It'll be fine. Not enough pressure or volume to cause you an issue!!
Get it wet!!!
