Red Sea Reefer XXL 625

This build thread will mostly be for me to document my build for my own satisfaction. Nothing groundbreaking but I’m moving my current 125 to a Red Sea Reefer XXL 625. Also moving the livestock across the state to the new setup….

Day one is here with the tank build delivered. My son and cat are helping with the inspection and inventory.

Tank is finally up and ready for water. I’ll be doing about 60% new water and 40% water from my current system. I’m moving the livestock, rock and sand this weekend. It’s going about 2 hours in the car so send good vibes my way!

That’s a beauty!

One thing you may try is using a battery operated air pump with an air stone while you transport your livestock. I use a cooler with a hole at the top (through which I pass the tube) and transport new livestock this way.

Today is moving day! Here’s a “before” picture with the current set up. Going for a big time glowup with the Red Sea reefer!

Everything is moved in! I’m waiting for the water to clear before I finalize the rock scape but I’ll send a final photo once it’s complete. Coral placements coming soon as well.

Im also taking suggestions on fish and cool inverts to add now that it’s set up. I’ve got a pretty small crew right now:

2x ocellaris clowns
1x yellow tang
1x coral beauty
1x Male blue star wrasse
1x Myster wrasse

I've already decided that this is the next tank I'll be buying myself next year when I hit my ceiling with my fluval 13.5gal.
