Just ordered a Red Sea Reefer 425 xl on bulkreefsupply. I am so excited to get this thing setup and running. Does anybody have any suggestions or experience with the Reefer series?

Congratulations!!! I have been leaning toward the reefer 750, but still haven't committed between that and a crystal dynamics yet. Look up all the red seas on here, there are some beautiful set ups. A lot of useful information as far as plumbing, trick's, tips, and how too's. Good luck on yoor journey!

Congratulations
I have a 425xl and love it! Tons of room... till you fill it up with stuff and it grows that is....
seriously, great tank, and very easy to set up. Just take your time with the stand, get a 6’ level, and also, make sure the sump is placed exactly where you want it BEFORE you fill it, there is a little wiggle room.
You can check out my build for an idea.
It’s very quiet and easy to dial in, I would suggest getting two 1/2” random flow generators and the drop down, BRS has a kit. BIG difference.

Let me know if you have any questions, I’m happy to share what I know.

I set up a reefer 350 a couple of months ago and I love it. Although if I were to start over I would rip out the center overflow/plumbing that, in my opinion, takes up a ridiculous amount of room and replace it with a ghost overflow or something similar.

Nice, congratulations I think you will love it. I finally have my red sea 750 cycling. The best advice I can give is take your time and do it step by step, and in phases. If your anything like me and tend to over think things, you will be a bit overwhelmed as it is a lot of different componets. When you put your feet on try to put them all at the same level so it's easier to adjust. Once the tank is on the stand, take your time and make sure it is perfectly level. That will make your life 100 times easier when you put water in! Good luck and take care!
