1. I recently started my refugium, added Cheato had the light too close 380par 12 hours and it all started dying (1 week)
2. After i mesured the par (not between 80 - 270 (Top) (1.5 weeks)

I think the Cheato i skinda starting to look like it has life

Now i got these redness, not eaxtly slimy, infact the red is like almost a see through cheato strain? When i 1st got it it has some red seed kinda thing growing off it i then it was rurning red (it didnt look like thise it look clear red and spear shape seed.

Now the tank have gone a big green as well not sure what the stuff growing on the botton green but went red.

I also added a shell which has coraline algae which went white so im assuming it did. (i dont have coraline algae in my tank yet)

The algea on the refuge surface is dark green film kinda of thing

Oh the tank is 6 months old, at the moment only fish

q1. Is this cause my cheato is dying?
q2. Am i risking the dt from getting algae

I have been dosing Vibrant

Vibrant aka alagaefix always killed my chaeto the few times I used it. I heavily suspect what you see is because the vibrant is killing it.

Only just started, not sure about the quality, had some lying around from freshwater days (6-8 months on reef )

Ok. I'd run that to remove any vibrant that may be in the water. I like bituminous carbon. Rox carbon is nice but is extremely fragile and small. I recommend avoiding lignite, and possible coconut carbon
