I just bought this tank and will be transferring / downsizing my 300G mixed reef into it.
Dimensions are 82.7"L x 25.6"H x 26.75"W with approx 3" eurobrace
The tank came with 4x AI 32HD and I feel like its not really enough. I had planned on selling them as I currently run Noopsyche k7s over my 300 and like them.
I have never used hydras. I ran G4 Radion pros before the noops and prefer the noops.
I have access to 2x 64HD that I may pick up and ad to the 4x 32s instead of selling.
I am sure this would be plenty of light for my current livestock and if I get into SPS anytime soon.
For the people that have owned them, what do you think would be a good layout. Thinking about building a floating canopy and probably 14" from water height
Thinking equal spacing from left to right, with the 32s stacked front to back(190w max total) , mounted and spaced 9" off centerline of tank, so 18" apart and then the 64s(135W max) front to back 25" from center of tank. This layout would leaving 16.5+" to the end of the tank on each side, limiting spillage onto the eurobrace.
I may be overthinking this a bit, but it how i work thru this stuff.
Front to back I would set them rearward 2" from centerline.
second diagram shows a visual of the light emitting with 80* lens
I plan on an aquascape heavily concentrated to the center of the tank, will go come up approx 18" from bottom or 3/4 the height of the tank and taper down both directions
Front to back I would set them rearward 2" from centerline. diagram below. Thoughts?
