Wow. The number of aquascapes shown in the Rectangular video got my mind racing. These have been excellent.

But like I said in the video, they all follow the same basic rules.

I will begin working on the lagoon aquascapes tomorrow. Am I right to assume lagoon tanks are meant to be appreciated mainly from the top?

I would agree with that, but never kept one.

I did about 20 aquascapes for the lagoon tanks and I am waiting for my computer to finish rendering them.

I have been thinking about the coral placement subject and I decided to integrate that subject into another series of videos.

What about mixing different texture rocks? Pukani vs fiji, how would you transition between them?

I would try to keep them separated in different structures.

When you create a rock structure it looks better the more seamless it is and it's difficult to achieve that with different rock types.

It may work to keep one of the types of rock in front of the other: lower fiji in front and taller pukani at the back, for example. But the easiest way is to separate them.

If you were to create 3 seperate structures, would they be arranged by size larger to smaller or mor symetric with taller or wider in the middle then varied size peaks to left and right?

I would try the medium one on the left, the bigger in the middle (but not centred) and the smallest one on the right. All different heights, preferably proportional to the length.

My first idea is to surround the first 4 inches with rock and build a floating aquascape on top, with layers at different heights around.

These layers could be done either with reef plates or reef branches.

Could you create a video to showcase that idea ????

Ok, give me a couple of days. The animations need a few days to render and my computer is rendering one until tomorrow.
